BRAND & FOUNDER STORY

Welcome to Epitome—a Brooklyn-born fashion haven where self-expression, creativity, and individuality are at the heart of everything we do. As a Black-owned and women-owned boutique, Epitome stands as a testament to resilience, vision, and the power of dreaming big.

Our story is deeply personal. Founded and run by a full-time college student pursuing a fashion design degree, Epitome was born from a journey marked by ingenuity and determination.

Growing up in foster care and a low-income Brooklyn household, our founder learned to turn hand-me-downs into standout looks, inspired by icons like Bratz and Monster High. These early DIY transformations became the foundation for a brand that celebrates boldness and self-invention.

Epitome is more than just a store—it’s a movement. We draw inspiration from 2000s nostalgia, 90s vibes, and alternative aesthetics, curating an eclectic mix of styles for those who dare to be different. Our mission is to empower you to express yourself unapologetically, blending creativity with fashion to help you achieve peak self-expression. Every piece is chosen for its versatility, ensuring your wardrobe works with your style, not against it.

Balancing college, work, and entrepreneurship, our founder is building Epitome as a stepping stone toward her dream of becoming a special occasion fashion designer. Her journey embodies the spirit of breaking cycles and redefining what it means to stand out in style.

At Epitome, we invite you to join us in celebrating individuality, creativity, and the power of owning your story—one outfit at a time.
